Studio

A coffee bag and a black tin from a Paper Fox identity, on a plaster plinth
A tall paper tea bag with an embossed seal, lit against black
Paper Fox is a studio of four in Bristol. We have worked on food and drink since 2017 and on nothing else since 2019 — roasters, brewers, preserve kitchens and pantry brands, mostly between their first listing and their fifth.

Working in one category means we already know what a co-packer will accept, what a farm shop buyer looks at first, and which printer will take a short run without charging for a full one. That is most of what a founder is paying for.

How we work

Five steps. A brief and a shelf audit in week one. Two routes, not twelve, in week three — you pick one and we stop showing you the other. Artwork and dielines for every size in the range. Print, with us on the phone to the printer through the first run. Guidelines last, once the thing has actually been printed and we know what held.

What it costs

A full identity is six to eight weeks, from £6,500. Packaging and labels for a range of up to six lines is four to six weeks, from £4,500. Art direction and rollout, from £3,000. Everything is quoted as a fixed fee against a written scope, in three payments. We will tell you on the first call if the budget and the range do not meet.
