Work
Four ranges,
four problems
Four projects, each one a range rather than a logo. Every case study says what was wrong before we started, what we drew, and what changed once it had been printed and put on a shelf. Where a number is useful we have given one.
None of this leaves the studio as a picture of an idea. Each project ends with dielines, artwork at the printer's spec for every size in the range, and a guidelines file the client can hand to the next person who needs it.
Brand identity & packaging
Most of these started as one job and turned into both. A label cannot be drawn
before the brand knows what it is, and a brand nobody has to print is easy to
get wrong. Pick whichever of the two is more urgent and we will tell you on the
first call whether the other one can wait.
In the studio
We proof on the stock the run will use, not on office paper. A label that looks
right on a screen and wrong on uncoated board has cost the client a print run, and
that is the mistake this studio was set up to stop making.
A range is a system, not a set of labels drawn one at a time.
The work we are proudest of is the work a client can extend without us. A grid
that takes a fourteen-letter flavour name and a three-letter one. A colour rule
that covers next winter as well as this one. A dieline pack a printer quotes once
for the whole range.
If a system needs the studio every time the kitchen has an idea, it is not finished.
